New York/New Delhi, May 30 -- Indian-American journalist T. Vishnudatta Jayaraman, founder of South Asian Herald, a digital news publication and weekly e-paper dedicated to serving the South Asian diaspora in the United States, was felicitated at the New York State Assembly.

New York Assembly woman Jenifer Rajkumar, the first South Asian American woman elected to state office in New York, honored Vishnudatta Jayaraman, Ph.D., on the floor of the New York State Assembly on May 27, 2026, at the State Capitol in Albany.
