New Delhi, Aug. 17 -- The Indian and US navies have concluded the eighth edition of their bilateral Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) exercise at the Southern Naval Command in Kochi, aimed at enhancing operational skills, interoperability and cooperation in specialised maritime operations.
The exercise, which concluded on August 14, involved intensive professional interactions, exchanges of operational best practices and demonstrations by EOD teams from both navies, the Ministry of Defence said.
The training focused on key aspects of explosive ordnance disposal, including dealing with real-time threats from improvised explosive devices (IEDs), render-safe procedures, mine neutralisation and the use of unmanned underwater systems.
