New Delhi, June 12 -- : AI-native transformation company Avataar on Friday launched 'Varya', an indigenous video-generation artificial intelligence (AI) model developed with support from the IndiaAI Mission, claiming it can produce high-quality videos at a fraction of the cost of leading global models.
The launch was announced in New Delhi in the presence of S. Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), and Avataar's leadership team.
According to the company, Varya uses a model-distillation technique that reduces video generation from more than 50 computational steps to just four while maintaining comparable output quality. Avataar said its internal benchmarks show the model can generate video at Rs 0...
