New Delhi, Oct. 6 -- External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar today said that India is working to arrive at a trade deal with the United States, but emphasised that it has to be one where India's "red lines are respected".

In comments during a discussion at the Kautilya Economic Enclave, the EAM also acknowledged that a major reason for India and the US not being able to arrive at a "landing ground" for the trade deal is due to the 50 percent tariffs imposed by the Trump administration.
