Chandigarh, Feb. 9 -- Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar on Sunday hailed the India-US trade agreement as a landmark deal that favours both the nation and the state of Punjab.
Addressing a press conference here, Jakhar extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal for successfully navigating negotiations with the world's largest economy while ensuring that the interests of the farming community remain untouched.
Jakhar emphasised that the agreement would act as a catalyst for Punjab's industrial growth, subsequently opening new avenues for employment for the state's youth.
