New Delhi, Nov. 18 -- The recent India-US tensions over the high tariffs imposed by the United States are only "minor aberrations", and it is only a matter of time before the two countries achieve a breakthrough in trade negotiations, Chairman of the ongoing Indo-US Economic Summit Dr. Lalit Bhasin said here on Tuesday.
"India and the US are the two largest democracies of the world, and I take the tariff imposed by the US as an aberration," Bhasin, past National President of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), told UNI on the sidelines of the summit.
Bhasin said the bilateral relationship remains strong, resilient and future-oriented notwithstanding the recent tariff-related tensions.
