New Delhi, April 18 -- : Reaffirming action against electronic cigarettes, India will roll out drug-free campaigns across the schools, instilling a value-based education system to steer away the youth from nicotine products.
The announcement by Ram Singh, Joint Director, Ministry of Education, was made at a seminar under the theme "Educating for Values, Protecting Our Children: Keeping Novel Nicotine Products Away from Children" organised by Mothers Against Vaping (MAV) in Delhi earlier this week.
"This year, we are introducing Nasha Mukt Vidyalaya, a 3-Year Action Plan under Nasha Mukt Bharat, to address this challenge," said Singh.
