Glasgow, July 27 -- India enjoyed another encouraging day at the Commonwealth Games 2026 as long jumper Murali Sreeshankar and hurdler Tejas Shirse advanced to their respective finals, while the country's boxers continued their impressive run with Ankush and Sachin Siwach reaching the quarterfinals.

Sreeshankar, the Commonwealth Games silver medallist, comfortably qualified for the men's long jump final after clearing the automatic qualification mark of 8.00m with an opening leap of 8.01m. Fellow Indian Lokesh Sathyanathan also progressed to the final with a best effort of 7.77m, finishing seventh overall.

Tejas Shirse secured a place in the men's 110m hurdles final after finishing third in his heat with a timing of 13.76 seconds. He was ...
