Horsens (Denmark), April 28 -- The Indian women's badminton team produced a spirited performance against the People's Republic of China in its final Uber Cup 2026 Group A tie but lost 5-0 to bow out in the group stage here.

India, who came into the contest on the back of a narrow 3-2 loss to Denmark and a 4-1 win over Ukraine, needed a victory to stay in the hunt for a quarter-final berth.

The top two teams from the group - China and hosts Denmark - progressed, with India finishing third ahead of Ukraine.
