New Delhi, Feb. 12 -- The Year-on-Year inflation rate based on All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) with base year 2024 for Jan 2026 stood at 2.75 per cent (provisional) over corresponding period last year, an official statement said here on Thursday.
Corresponding inflation rates for rural and urban areas were 2.33 per cent and 2.77 per cent, respectively.
The Year-on-Year food inflation for Jan was 2.13 per cent (provisional) and housing inflation stood at 2.05 per cent, the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation said in a statement.
