Nagpur, June 19 -- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said the country's future defence preparedness depends on achieving self-reliance in critical defence technologies and manufacturing.

Addressing the groundbreaking ceremony of the state-of-the-art 10,000 ton Aluminium Extrusion Press project at Yantra India Limited's Ordnance Factory at Ambajhari here, Singh said the facility would enable indigenous production of high-grade aluminium alloy components required for defence systems, aerospace, aircraft manufacturing, missile programmes, railways and other strategic sectors.
