New Delhi, Sept. 2 -- India's e-commerce sector is poised for a sharp expansion over the next four years, with the market projected to nearly triple from USD 125 billion in 2024 to USD 345 billion by 2030.

According to a report by research consultancy Infisum, India's e-commerce market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 18.4pc through 2030.

By then, online commerce could account for 10-12pc of total retail spending, contribute around 2.5pc to India's GDP and serve 420-440 million online shoppers.

Traditional business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce is expected to remain the largest segment, accounting for nearly two-thirds of total e-retail gross merchandise value (GMV).
