Umroi, May 30 -- India's defence manufacturing sector is witnessing rapid growth driven by the government's push for self-reliance and sustained support from the armed forces, Additional Director General of the Army Design Bureau, Major General C.S. Mann said on Saturday.
"The Indian defence industry is growing at an exponential pace due to the government's emphasis on Atmanirbhar Bharat, enabling policy measures and the focused efforts of all three services, particularly the Army," Mann told reporters on the sidelines of the concluding ceremony of a 13-nation military exercise PRAGATI (Partnership of Regional Armies for Growth and Transformation in the Indian Ocean Region) 2026 at the Joint Training Node, Umroi Military Station, Ri-Bhoi d...
