Bengaluru, Oct. 23 -- ISRO Chairman V Narayanan today said that the Gaganyaan mission is in its final stages of preparation.

He stated that three uncrewed missions are planned before the crewed flight, and the space agency is currently conducting integrated-level tests, including software development.

"At the subsystem level, almost 85 to 90 per cent of development activities have been completed. Once we successfully accomplish the uncrewed missions, we will move forward with the crewed mission," Narayanan told reporters here.

The Gaganyaan mission represents India's ambitious effort to send astronauts into space under its human spaceflight programme.
