New Delhi, Aug. 7 -- India on Friday said the fishermen issue featured prominently during Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri's visit to Sri Lanka, with New Delhi urging Colombo to adopt a humanitarian approach that takes into account the livelihood and welfare of Indian fishermen.

Addressing the media briefing, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the fishermen issue figured prominently in discussions between the two sides.
