New Delhi, June 5 -- India hosted the inaugural meeting of the Focal Points of the BRICS Expert Network on Asset Recovery in New Delhi on June 2, marking a key initiative under the Anti-Corruption Working Group during India's 2026 BRICS Presidency.
Organised by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), the meeting brought together representatives from all BRICS member countries to strengthen cooperation in tracing, freezing and recovering proceeds of crime across jurisdictions.
Discussions focused on operational challenges faced by member nations, mechanisms for information sharing, capacity building, and developing a standard framework for informal exchange of intelligence related to asset recovery.
