Hyderabad, March 17 -- The Department of Posts today launched three new time-bound postal services with guaranteed delivery across six metro cities, including Hyderabad.
Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia, along with Minister of State Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, unveiled the '24 Speed Post', '24 Speed Post Parcel' and '48 Speed Post' services from New Delhi.
A launch event was also held at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's College auditorium, King Koti in the city..
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Veena Kumari Dermal, Chief Postmaster General, Telangana Circle, described the initiative as a major step in modernising postal services.
She said India Post is adapting to evolving market needs of retail and bulk customers.
