Nisshin, Oct. 1 -- India posted a challenging 169 for seven in 20 overs against Sri Lanka in the second semifinal of the men's cricket competition at the Asian Games here on Thursday.
Put in to bat after Sri Lanka won the toss, India were given an explosive start by Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who smashed 38 off 21 balls with six fours and two sixes.
Ishan Kishan then anchored the innings with a superb unbeaten 80 off 46 balls, hitting four fours and five sixes at a strike rate of 173.91.
Kishan held the innings together after India slipped to 87 for four in the 10th over and accelerated spectacularly towards the end.
