New Delhi, July 18 -- India participated in the plenary of the Australia Group, a key multilateral export control regime, from July 14-18 on its 40th Anniversary year.
The MEA spokesperson in a post on X said that India is an active participant of the Australia Group.
"India participated in the Australia Group Plenary from 14-18 July 2025 on its 40th Anniversary year. "India is an active participant of the Australia Group, a key multilateral export control regime that contributes to the international non-proliferation architecture on chemical & biological weapons & related items."
The Australia Group was established in 1985 after Iraq's use of chemical weapons during the Iran-Iraq War.
