New Delhi, Aug. 25 -- India and New Zealand have agreed to accelerate defence and security cooperation, with the second edition of the India-New Zealand Defence Strategic Dialogue focusing on maritime security, military training and broader defence engagements between the two countries.
The high-level dialogue was held in Wellington on August 24 and was co-chaired by Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Defence Amitabh Prasad and Deputy Secretary in the New Zealand Ministry of Defence Richard Schmidt.
The discussions sought to translate the strategic convergence between the two countries into concrete areas of cooperation, following the framework established at the summit-level meeting last month. The delegations reviewed steps to advance t...
