New Delhi, May 31 -- India has transitioned from being a technology follower to a technology leader over the past 12 years, with advances in frontier technologies and a rapidly expanding innovation ecosystem laying the foundation for the country's development goals for 2047, Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh said on Sunday.

He said the scientific capabilities, innovation ecosystem and technological infrastructure built during this period have fundamentally altered India's position in the global scientific landscape.
