New Delhi, July 4 -- India and Israel on Saturday operationalised their Bilateral Investment Agreement (BIA), marking a significant milestone in bilateral economic ties and providing a stronger legal framework to promote and protect investments between the two countries.
The agreement, which was signed in New Delhi on September 8, 2025, officially came into force on July 4, 2026, according to an official statement issued by the government.
The BIA is expected to enhance investor confidence by creating a secure, transparent and predictable investment environment while encouraging greater two-way capital flows.
