Gandhinagar, Jan. 12 -- India and Germany said on Tuesday that bilateral trade in goods and services "surpassed $50 billion" in 2024, accounting for "over 25%" of India's total trade with the European Union, as the two countries sought to deepen cooperation across technology, clean energy and global supply chains.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, in a joint statement, said two-way investments were "strong" and had helped "diversify global supply chains", adding that trade had reached a "record high" in 2024 with momentum continuing into 2025.
