New Delhi, May 19 -- India's newly concluded free trade agreement with the European union is expected to open significant opportunities for exporters, labour-intensive industries and service providers, with the government now focusing on ensuring the benefits reach businesses across sectors, Darpan Jain, Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce and Industry said on Tuesday.
Addressing the Conference on Next-Gen Trade Pacts: Leveraging India's Partnership with Europe under FTAs, organised by FICCI in association with the Centre for Trade and Investment Law, Darpan Jain said India had completed one of its most important trade negotiations in recent years.
