New Delhi, May 14 -- India on Thursday strongly condemned the attack on an Indian-flagged commercial vessel off the coast of Oman on May 13, 2026, calling it "unacceptable" and warned against continued targeting of civilian maritime activity.

Thje Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that all Indian crew members on board are safe following the incident. The crew was rescued with assistance from Omani authorities, whom India thanked for their swift response.

In an official statement released, the government also expressed gratitude to the Omani authorities for swiftly rescuing the crew following the incident.
