Galle, Aug. 19 -- India moved within sight of victory in the first Test against Sri Lanka after reducing the hosts to 175 for six at lunch on the fifth and final day, leaving them needing another 197 runs to chase down a daunting target of 372.
Sri Lanka, chasing 372 for victory, reached 175/6 in 67 overs, with Sonal Dinusha unbeaten on 65 off 112 balls and Keshara Nuwantha on eight.
Dinusha's fighting innings included six fours and a six and continued his impressive performance in the match. After making a century in Sri Lanka's first innings, the left-handed batsman again provided the bulk of the resistance as India's bowlers steadily tightened the pressure.
