New Delh/Bamako, July 4 -- India and Mali have taken a major step towards strengthening their economic partnership by launching the inaugural India-Mali Forum for the Promotion of Exports, as the two countries seek to expand trade, attract investments and deepen cooperation across sectors ranging from cotton and mining to pharmaceuticals and renewable energy.

The two-day forum, held in Bamako city under the theme "Reinforcing Trade and Strategic Partnerships," marked the institutionalisation of bilateral commercial engagement and brought together senior government officials and business leaders from both countries to identify new avenues for collaboration.
