New Delhi/Tokyo, Aug. 26 -- India and Japan are set to announce a new framework for cooperation to promote joint research and the mutual exchange of personnel in the field of AI, during the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Japan.
Japanese PM Shigeru Ishiba and Indian PM Narendra Modi, who will visit Japan on Friday and Saturday, will likely reach an agreement on the issue during their meeting on Friday, Japanese news portal yomuiri reported citing Japanese government sources.
Modi is expected to make arrangements to invite Ishiba to an international conference on AI to be held in India in February next year, it reported. The new framework will be called the 'Japan-India AI cooperation initiative'.
