New Delhi, July 10 -- The Australian Patent-awarding agency, IP Australia, has signed an agreement with India to gain access to our country's traditional knowledge database, as it examines patent applications in accordance with Australia's patent laws and examination procedures.
The agreement was signed between IP Australia and the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) during the 3rd India-Australia Annual Summit held in Melbourne, Australia, on July 9 in the presence of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, and his Australian counterpart, Anthony Albanese MP.
