Vijayapura, Aug. 6 -- Congress MLA from Indi, Yashwant Rayagouda Patil withdrew his resignation after appeals from senior party leaders and workers, but lashed out at the Congress leadership for failing to honour its promise of a ministerial berth, saying he was hurt not by being left out of the Cabinet but by the manner in which his name was dropped at the last moment.
Addressing an open meeting of party workers in Vijayapura, Patil said he had decided to withdraw his resignation in deference to the wishes of his supporters and following interventions by senior Congress leaders, including Karnataka in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala.
