A report released today by Climate Trend and Climate Compatible Future during COP30 noted that heat waves contributed to a 9 percent increase in the country's power demand during the summer of 2024.
The report called for urgent investment in renewable energy infrastructure to address the challenges posed by rising temperatures and emissions associated with power supply.
