Greater Noida, June 15 -- The Noida International Airport at Jewar opened its doors to commercial flights on Monday.
After its inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 28, IndiGo's first passenger flight from Lucknow landed at 7:55 am at the Noida International Airport on Monday.
IndiGo flight 6E-2278, flying from Lucknow's Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, landed at Noida International Airport on schedule at 7:55 am. The aircraft received a traditional water cannon salute upon landing. Passengers on board celebrated this historic landing with applause.
