Panchkula, Sept. 4 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts that heavy rain is likely to persist in Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Punjab till September 6, warning that intense spells could trigger waterlogging and flooding in low-lying areas and disrupt road and rail traffic.
The warning forms part of the IMD's All India Weather Summary and Forecast Bulletin issued at 4.31 pm on September 4. The weather office said fairly widespread to widespread rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, was likely over Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi on September 4 and 5.
