Mumbai, June 21 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has placed Mumbai and several neighboring districts under a yellow alert until June 24, indicating a possibility of moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds of up to 40 km/h.
The areas under the yellow alert are Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, and Sindudrug.
Yellow alerts are advisory-level warnings that call for caution rather than indicating severe danger.
