Panchkula, Aug. 27 -- The monsoon is set to remain active over large parts of eastern, central and northeastern India over the coming days, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting four days of isolated very heavy rainfall over Odisha from August 29 to September 1 and an increase in rainfall activity over the western Himalayan region towards the end of the month.
In its All India Weather Summary and Forecast Bulletin issued at 8.23 am on August 27, the IMD said fairly widespread to widespread rainfall is likely over Uttarakhand from August 27 to September 1 and over Himachal Pradesh and Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh during August 31-September 1.
