Panchkula, Aug. 6 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of an active monsoon surge sweeping northwest India. Widespread showers will drench Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad in the coming days.
The latest All India Weather Summary and Forecast Bulletin, released at 8:22 a.m., also warns of pockets of heavy rainfall across the region. According to the bulletin, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall is likely over Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, and Uttarakhand from August 6 to 11.
