Bhubaneswar, Sept. 19 -- A low-pressure area is likely to form over the north Andaman Sea on Saturday evening and intensify into a depression over the east-central Bay of Bengal by September 21, the Bhubaneswar Regional Centre of IMD said on Saturday.

It is likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify further into a deep depression over the west-central Bay of Bengal on September 22 before reaching the west-central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal near the south Odisha-north Andhra Pradesh coasts by the morning of September 23, the Regional Meteorological Centre said.

Under its influence, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places across Odisha during the next 24 hours.
