Mumbai, Aug. 1 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday forecast a generally cloudy sky with moderate rain in Mumbai and its suburbs, accompanied by occasional gusty winds of 40-50 kmph.
According to the IMD's 0800 hrs bulletin, Mumbai city recorded 32.08 mm of rainfall during the 24-hour period ending at 0800 hrs on Saturday.
The eastern suburbs received 11.34 mm of rainfall, while the western suburbs recorded 7.16 mm.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said the first high tide of 4.38 metres is expected at 1342 hrs on Saturday, followed by a low tide of 1.27 metres at 1951 hrs.
On Sunday, Aug 2, the city is likely to witness a high tide of 3.96 metres at 0152 hrs and a low tide of 0.99 metre at 0724 hrs.
