Lucknow, April 2 -- An allegedly illegal mosque constructed on gram sabha land in the BKT (Bakshi Ka Talab) tehsil of Lucknow district was demolished late on Wednesday night by the local administration, following an order from the Allahabad High Court, officials disclosed on Thursday.
According to officials, a team of police and administrative personnel arrived at the site in Asti village with two bulldozers and carried out the demolition under heavy security deployment.
A significant number of police personnel were stationed at the location to maintain law and order during the operation.
The matter pertains to land identified as Gata number 648 in Asti village.
