Nahan, May 6 -- A limestone quarry disaster has once again raised concerns in Sangrah, a subdivision of Sirmaur district. A car and a bike were buried under heavy debris that washed down from the Walia Limestone Mine, about a kilometer from Sangrah headquarters, following rainfall.

The incident caused chaos at the scene. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, but both vehicles were severely damaged.

Local residents allege that thousands of metric tons of debris from the quarry are being illegally dumped right above the Sangrah-Renukaji-Nahan road.
