Lucknow, Aug. 3 -- The illegal construction issue was raised in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council on Monday.
BJP MLC Vijay Bahadur Pathak, raising this issue in the Legislative Council under rule 110, said that complaints of illegal construction are continuously emerging in the areas of development authorities, Housing Development Boards, and Industrial Development Authorities, which is creating an embarrassing situation for both the public and the government.
Mr Pathak said that the fire incident in the Aliganj area of the capital Lucknow on June 22 is a glaring example of this problem.
