Meerut, April 28 -- In a major crackdown in Meerut, police have uncovered an illegal arms manufacturing unit operating from a residential house in the Lohia Nagar area. The raid was conducted in Allipur locality by a joint team of SWAT and surveillance units.
During the operation, officers discovered a hidden basement beneath a double bed, where a fully functional setup for manufacturing pistols had been established, police disclosed on Tuesday. Police recovered 11 ready-made pistols, 12 magazines, and several tools used in weapon production.
