Kanpur, June 15 -- The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) has approved the establishment of a dedicated Department of Statistics and Data Science, reinforcing its commitment to advancing education, research, and innovation in one of the fastest-growing scientific disciplines.
The new department will consolidate the institute's existing undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in statistics and data science under a unified academic framework, enabling greater academic coherence and future growth.
