Dhanbad, July 14 -- IIT (ISM) Dhanbad has honoured distinguished alumnus Dr Mohinder Singh Gulati with its Special Centenary Award after he pledged Rs 10 crore for the construction of a multi-purpose convention hall on the campus.
The award was presented at Gulati's residence in the United States by IIT (ISM) Director Prof Sukumar Mishra and Dean (Alumni Affairs) Prof Rajeev Upadhyay as part of the institute's centenary year celebrations.
A 1962 Petroleum Engineering graduate and Stanford University alumnus, Gulati is internationally recognised for his contributions to geothermal energy exploration and development.
