Mumbai, Sept. 23 -- The Mumbai Crime Branch on Wednesday intensified its investigation into the death of an IIT-Bombay student by recording statements of students and examining the circumstances surrounding his final hours, while Professor Suryanarayana Doolla, who has been named in the case, has been sent on leave by the institute and summoned for questioning.
Sahil Wakode, 22, a second-year B.Tech student of the Energy Science and Engineering department and a native of Yavatmal district, was found dead in his room at Hostel No. 4 on the IIT-Bombay campus on September 18.
