Bhubaneswar, Feb. 10 -- In a landmark achievement for indigenous power system innovation, IIT Bhubaneswar has successfully developed and commissioned an advanced digital substation at its 33/11 kV campus. Equipped with a state-of-the-art Centralized Protection and Monitoring (CPM) system, the facility is set to enable real-time monitoring and protection of the Institute's entire electrical distribution network.
The digital substation was inaugurated on Tuesday by Vishal Kumar Dev, Additional Chief Secretary of the Energy and IT Department, Government of Odisha, in the presence of Shreepad Karmalkar, Director of IIT Bhubaneswar.
