Varanasi, Jan. 21 -- Researchers from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-BHU) and the Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS-BHU), have developed a nature-inspired protein-fenugreek-based biomaterial for the treatment of deep muscle wounds and skin photoprotection.

This cutting-edge technology is now being taken up for clinical trials.

The research project was led by Dr. Avneesh Singh Parmar (IIT-BHU) and Prof. Vaibhav Jain (IMS-BHU). The bio-composite material, developed and patented by the team, accelerates tissue regeneration, protects the skin from harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays, and also possesses potent antimicrobial properties.
