Srinagar, April 17 -- A high-level security review meeting was chaired by Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, V.K. Birdi here to assess and finalize arrangements for upcoming events across the Valley.

Senior officers from multiple security agencies, including police, CRPF, BSF, SSB, ITBP, CID and the Army, attended the meeting, focusing on strengthening the existing security grid and ensuring coordinated deployment at sensitive locations.

Although Police did not specify the events, the review assumes significance ahead of the first anniversary of the Pahalgam terror attack, which had escalated tensions between India and Pakistan.
