Srinagar, July 1 -- Inspector General of Police, Kashmir V.K. Birdi on Wednesday undertook a comprehensive review of security arrangements at Pahalgam, stressing robust preparedness and coordinated deployment ahead of the commencement of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
Police said IGP reviewed the security arrangements along the Yatra route Anatnag district and assessed the operational preparedness of the security grid.
During the visit, the IGP inspected the X-ray screening point, where he reviewed the passenger and baggage screening mechanism.
