Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 25 -- The 18th International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Keralam (IDSFFK) will present 'Soundscapes', a curated package of four films exploring the intersection of music, history, cultural identity and human emotion across diverse societies.
The package features Celtic Utopia, directed by Dennis Harvey and Lars Loven, which examines a rapidly changing Ireland through its vibrant and rebellious folk music scene. Featuring artists including The Mary Wallopers, Poor Creature and Lankum, along with musicians from punk and hip-hop backgrounds, the film explores contemporary efforts to reconnect with ancient traditions while confronting Ireland's colonial past and imagining a liberated future.
